Crispy pizza enjoyment in just 15 minutes

A truly authentic Italian pizza takes time – not least because the yeast dough has to rise first. And very few are likely to have a wood stove at home. But don’t give up: professional chef Steffen Henssler makes short work of it again and shows how a real gourmet pizza can be made in just 15 minutes: with puff pastry and Italian bratwurst! The step-by-step instructions are in the video.

Flaky crust pizza with salsiccia and mozzarella

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 1 packet (270 g) fresh puff pastry (refrigerated shelf)
  • 4 Salsiccia (Italian Bratwurst)
  • 6 tablespoons of tomato passata
  • 2 balls (125 g each) mozzarella, diced
  • 4 sage leaves, cut into strips
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation time: 3 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Total time: 15 minutes


  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C for a circulating air. Halve the puff pastry, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and prick a few times with a fork.
  2. Halve the salsiccia and press out the sausage meat. Spread the tomato passata thinly on the puff pastry. Spread the salciccia roughly on the puff pastry. Then spread mozzarella cubes and sage strips on top.
  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake in the hot oven for about 12 minutes. (rka)
