Everyone knows and loves the classic Italian pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil – the margherita. But have you ever tried a sweet pizza? Because the basic dough also cuts a fine figure with sweet toppings. For example, Nutella pizza has long become a classic. Less well known, but no less good, are the sweet stone fruit pizza.

The sweet pizza is typically served in a handy mini format. The dough is first spread with a cream of curd cheese and vanilla yogurt and refined with vanilla sugar and pulp and a little fruit. Fresh from the oven, you can then top it however you like. In keeping with the season, especially sweet strawberries, apricots and nectarines should not be missing from the stone fruit pizza. A few more chopped hazelnuts, a little honey or melted chocolate round off the special taste of the pizza and you can snack on it.
