Pizza dough made from oat flakes: delicious & crispy – without any flour

The pizza crust, which tastes incredibly good, is made from rolled oats. The healthy superfood is now not only a classic muesli base, but is also often used for pastries, breadcrumbs, milk shakes – and pizzas.
Healthy and delicious: You don’t need yeast, flour and, above all, no time for the homemade oatmeal pizza dough. The perfect base for your new favorite pizza is “fast food” in the truest sense of the word in a healthy alternative. We will tell you how to do it.
And this is how it is done
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- For the pizza crust: Finely grind the soft oat flakes in a blender.
- Add water, olive oil, baking powder and a pinch of salt to the ground oats and knead everything into a smooth dough.
- For the tomato sauce: Mix the tomato passata and oregano in a bowl.
- Roll out the pizza dough evenly on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Raise a small edge. Spread with the homemade tomato sauce and top with the topping of your choice. Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan on top.
- Bake the pizza at 220 degrees top/bottom heat for about 20 minutes. The pizza may be ready earlier or need a few minutes longer.
The pizza dough made from oat flakes is definitely worth a try – made in no time and also suitable for gluten-free diets due to the lack of wheat flour.
