The festival committee of the Eppenbrunn municipal council decided to move the park festival from the first to the second weekend in August to avoid the competition with the Schlabbeflickerfest in Pirmasens. The festival will also only be celebrated on Saturday evening with this restart. Jens Schuster, the chairman of the “We for Eppenbrunn” association, informed about this. Under the motto “Moonlight Market”, an end is scheduled for 02:00.
Live music and international menu
Schuster announces that the organizing team has succeeded in putting together an attractive program with 22 exhibitors. The traditional tapping of the keg will be at 18:00 by the mayor, Andreas Pein. “Tal-Ötzi” will provide the musical entertainment first, before “DJ Schico” from camp 14 will take over at a later hour. A fire jugglers will perform during game breaks. There will be enough for the physical well-being. Spanish delicacies, French tarte flambée, Italian pizza and ice cream as well as American hamburgers and Japanese Taiyaki waffles are available as well as bratwurst. At stalls, visitors can buy liquor, jewellery, leather, wool and decorative goods. Everyone can practice archery at the paddling pool.
The special atmosphere is a trademark of the Dorfsause: the area around the gazebo and the footbath creates a family atmosphere that is beneficial for the village community. This is also reflected in the willingness to help of a number of citizens who want to take care of the erection and dismantling and on whom the association counts. “Other helpers are always welcome,” adds Schuster.
