Put a smile on everyone’s face with these chocolate pancakes.

  1. Separate egg white and yolk. Beat the egg yolk with half the sugar. Add the milk and mix with the whisk. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the other half of the sugar until fluffy. Now carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the egg yolk and milk mixture.

  2. Allow the melted butter to cool slightly and fold in the vanilla. First, sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder into a separate bowl. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until smooth. Grate the chocolate or chop it very finely and add it.

  3. Then heat a pan and add some oil and butter. Now pour the batter in portions into the pan and bake the pancakes over moderate heat. When bubbles appear on the surface, turn the pancakes over and cook on the other side.
