Carbonara goes not only with pasta, but also as a topping for a juicy pizza. Don’t be missed!
Are you in the mood for pizza? Or rather a creamy carbonara? How about just doing both? Our recipe brings together two Italian classics in just one dish. And it tastes good!
200 g diced bacon (alternatively: pancetta, diced)
100g Parmesan, freshly grated
Preparation time:
40 minutes (plus at least 9 hours break)
And this is how it is done
In the first step, the dough must be rolled out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Crack two eggs and whisk together with the whipped cream. Season with salt and pepper and spread evenly over the dough.
Peel the onions and cut into half rings, then spread over the dough together with the bacon cubes.
Preheat the oven to 230 degrees top/bottom heat (210 degrees convection) and let the pizza pre-bake for ten minutes and then sprinkle the Parmesan over the pizza. Bake everything for another eight to ten minutes – and that’s about it! To be on the safe side, check the packaging instructions of the dough manufacturer, the baking time may vary slightly.
Clue: Don’t like finished products? You can of course also prepare the pizza dough yourself – with our recipe.
Yes, we think: this one Carbonara Pizza brings two classics that go so well together. Even if, for the sake of completeness, you should add that original Italian spaghetti carbonara is of course prepared without cream. A typical mistake when preparing this pasta dish.
