Açai Bowl: Recipe for the healthy power breakfast
During the last few days, temperatures in Germany have repeatedly climbed above 30 degrees – the perfect time to start the day with a refreshing Açai Bowl for breakfast.
Açai Bowl: What’s Behind the Food Trend?
But what exactly is açai? And what makes them so special? The açai berry, the fruit of the cabbage palm, comes from South America and is best known for its health-promoting properties: the high proportion of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins C and B3 and calcium make it a true superfood. With a rather earthy taste, it’s best mashed with frozen bananas to form an ice cream and then topped with nuts and fruit as the mood takes you.
The Munich raw patisserie “Épique”, whose founders asked us for their favorite recipe for an açai bowl, offers you tempting topping inspiration. Have fun preparing!
